Frequently Asked Questions
Who can apply to Tally?
Companies registered in Thailand can apply to Tally. Individuals cannot yet apply at this moment, but we anticipate this will be possible in 2026.
Can I void payments?
Yes, credit card transactions can be voided on Tally’s terminals if not yet settled. PromptPay is instant and cannot be voided.
Can I refund payments?
Yes, credit card transactions that are settled can be refunded in 15 business days upon request. Refunded amounts are deducted from the next settlement. PromptPay is instant and cannot be refunded.
When is Tally’s settlement cutoff time?
10PM for credit cards and 11PM for PromptPay. To obtain funds on the next business day, settlements need to be done by 10PM. Any amount settled after cutoff times will be available the business day after.
What is auto-settlement?
You can opt for can automatic settlement. Staff do not need to manually press settlement at end of day and funds will be available the next business day. Auto-settlement time is recommended at 9.45PM, given cutoff.
When do I get funds deposited into my account?
We pay out to merchants every business day, meaning Monday – Friday, and except bank holidays.
Which bank accounts can funds go to?
We pay out into any bank account in Thailand in the merchant’s company name. In case you’d like to change the account, this will take 3 days.
What is the frequency of sending transaction and tax reports ?
We email you reports every business day given transactions are processed, after the payout is executed.
How does Tally handle withholding tax (WHT)?
Withholding taxes are already included in our fees, as opposed to VAT. We process WHT on behalf of merchants.
